I got ya now but it was called something els in 1995-1997 season and they changed it to the BCS in 1998

BU also played UT on national TV on Thanksgiving in 1994. ABC. Then Tech played @ TCU on ABC the next day. There was a 5-way tie for the SWC Title that year and Tech got to go to the Cotton Bowl because they had never gone.

That didn't matter since UT beat you the next week. Dumb aggy. '95 was the first year of the BCS, and the first year the SWC Champ did not go to the Cotton Bowl. That's why SWC Champ, UT, went to the Sugar Bowl to play Va Tech. I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for ya. A little help!  lol

A&M was put on probation at the time so they had to change the game. I believe A&M couldn't play on TV. So they had to put Baylor on it. That's why the game was the day after Thanksgiving for a while up until this year.

Had BU won this game they'd have gone to the Sugar Bowl by virtue of winning the SWC, since UT beat A&M the next week. 1995 was an odd year in that the SWC champ didn't have an auto bid to the Cotton Bowl. Mr Baseball needs to stick to his sport. BU just smoked aggy 41-7 at the end of 3rd.
