A Fairfax County School Bus was trapped on Chapel Road in Clifton, VA due to flood waters 4 feet deep behind the bus and up to 8 inches deep in front of the bus. Just over the hill behind the bus is the 4 foot deep running water. Over 30 students were rescued by Fairfax County Fire and Rescue out of Clifton, VA and a local man named Roy Barrett. After 2.5 hours sitting in this location the bus was able to drive forward through standing water into the Town of Clifton. Students were held at the Clifton Town Hall until parents could connect with them.
