@stepfordwoman Target pill bottle does work. It took couple days for the birds to find it but they do come. Thanks.

Fantastic!! Simple and completely affordable ... that if I get that particular prescription XD! Anyhow, I've noticed that I don't get yet that many hummingbirds visiting my garden,so I should certainly try something like this, with a much smaller plastic or glass container. Thanks for the idea!!!

i have a question do they come in all parts of U.S and can i hang it out my window?
spacehog3000 10 months ago
@spacehog3000 I believe they do inhabit all parts of the US, but only the ruby-throat variety lives east of the Mississippi. They stay for a longer time in warmer climates.
I'm sure you could hang a feeder outside of your window. Be sure to use 1 part sugar to 4 parts boiling water. Do not add red coloring to the nectar. Allow to cool before giving to the birds.

looks good but seems like you need to refill it very often. Once a day?

I think I had to refill it every other day, but I always made extra and kept it in the fridge for quick refills. The hummies are only around for 3 months, so it's not a big deal.
