I hate to bash lineages but this is bad Wing Chun. If this had been against some of WSL or Gary Lam's top students these guys would have got schooled. Keep in mind I'm not necessarily a WC guy. Mostly Kempo and Jiu-jitsu. Too much emphasize on chain punches. Just close the distance and enter, you don't have to chain punch to be effective.

This is a great example of how you shouldn't practice against your own style only. Jimmy dominated that guy with just some basic punches. These guys way over emphasized on chain punching. And I'm a Wing Chun fan too.

like the video showed, wing chun techniques dont work. Like most people who training in tradition martial arts, they revert to street fighting in a real fight. What happened to all those wing chun moves?? Answer: they dont work.

@zldai Without gloves and headgear, the wing tsun guys would have been in the hospital - and this is coming from a wing tsun guy. These dudes sucked. They did everything Leung Ting used to teach they shouldn't do, and they did nothing they should have done. This was a truly embarrassing display.

I've been trained in Wing Chun and I have done this for over 20 years and this is the most embarrassing show of anything but Wing Chun. Somebody show me the roof and I will become a bone breaker and all of Hong Kong will be there.

@LiNaK37 Retarded statement. Wing Chun is way above Boxing. Boxing is sport. Bound by rules. Wing Chun is a martial art system that never ceases to develop.

Comon you really dont think they fought the best students, they didnt even do well in sparring. in sparring the good students showed more skill than the dummy students they fought here.

I truly believe in the power of the fast punches of wing chun. At the beginning, if there were no gloves and head gear involved, the story would have ended totally different.
