John, I'd like to know if it's possible to record using an external mixer (Denon DN-X120) with the NI sound card Audio 2. I have no 'booth' input on the mixer and it is only two channels.

I can't record my mixes with my external mixer in traktor with out one of these right?

so would this work: I have 2 cdj 400's & a numark m3 mixer that i use as an external mixer when i play. if i get this would i be able to record my mixes?

plz help i heard that i need audio 8 but i dont have that much money yet but i do have enough for the audio 4. as long as i can record my mixes & play the same way i usually do this would be fine

@TheDirtyWay get an audio 8. theres not enough channesl on an audio 4 .

@arnoldimike I think you'll find you can plug into your "Main" in (Audio 6) from your booth out (mixer), just need to configure it in settings. This is the video that taught me how to as well, Cheers John!

Hello everyone. IT IS POSSIBLE TO RECORD USING NI AUDIO 6 and IT IS POSSIBLE TO USE THE RECORD OUT ON YOUR AMP in the same way you would use the record out on your mixer.

Hi John, I don't have a mixer with record out or booth out, so I tried using the record out of my amp and connected it to the main in of my audio 6 dj....

it didn't work, it just recorded the time code. Is it to do with the record out of the amp or the fact it's an audio 6?

One question. When I am recording, i try to record a mix, but the recorder also records when I am trying to cue up a song, is there a way i can disable it from recording the parts of the mix when I have to cue up a song?

to save disk space you could have your default recordings set to an external hard drive, then convert your wav file with your audio editing sofware.

John you forgot to mention that you need to route the input in your input settings in traktor
