  • @aschrips : You believe God created the universe and all it contains. This includes the cancer that is killing your boy. Not only that you also believe in a God who knows all that has occurred, is occurring and will occur. This God knew, at the beginning of existence, the pain and despair that cancer, disease, starvation and death would bring to mothers and fathers the world over.

When you thank god for all that is wonderful remember to thank him for all the pain.

Peace and hope for your boy.

  • Dammit I wanted to see the sign for "Blowjob"

  • The lady doing the signing didn't skip a beat when signing "blow job" @ 9:16. Brilliant.

  • extraordinary speech

  • @aschrips I hope your boy get's better. How is he doing?

  • Fry quoting Wilde: "The ability to play gracefully with ideas".

  • @LiquidYogi She did sign it, I think, around 09:15 :)

  • More excellent words of wisdom and truth.

Funny to see the signer at about 09:15 signing "blow job".

How could organic beings not decay and ultimately die? It's biologically nonsensical to think otherwise. Indeed, without pain, we wouldn't feel the burn of fire or the impact of a fall. Thus, we wouldn't be able to function. And how could organic creatures not have imperfections, such as cells that multiply irregularly? To deny God simply because reality doesn't match your utopia doesn't negate His existence.

  • Okay he threw in a Hamlet reference while talking about Shelley. LOVE HIM.

I simply can't understand your reasoning. I don't see how stating that you receive comfort and peace, in the face of your child's illness, reveals your beliefs to be true. It is a massive leap that you ask the listener to take without disproving Islamic or Jewish beliefs; forgive me for generalizing into three distinct groups, but we both should already be aware of the immense amount of "branches". I'd hope it simply isn't an appeal to emotion, because I too have faced pain.
