  • hi. about to order the product- looks great. Few questions- my car is black & it has a fair few scratches and stone chips....

with the deeper scratches, you mentioned earlier the touch up paint method. Is it the same as this, but instead of using the clear coat pen, you use touch up paint?

Also will this work effectively on stone chips on a front bumper bar?

    thanks in advance =)

  • @rExEED1 Sometimes touch up paint is needed on deep scratches and stone clips. Apply a thin coat of touch up paint to the chip or scratch. Remove excess paint immediately from surrounding paint with a soft towel, or let dry and use a compound to remove excess touch up paint. Next, fill the scratch or chip with the clear coat pen. Apply two coats. Then follow the remaining restoration instructions on the kit. - Tommy

  • the scratch on the video looks like 1inch tops. why do we have to sand more than the damage area? wouldn't that remove the clearcoat from the undamage area?

  • @tl2oY The Scratch Repair kit contains sanding pads and compound that are not strong enough to remove all of the clear coat. You would need to wet sand for several minutes to do that. As long as you use 20 – 40 strokes per pad no damage will occur.

  • @swagdadyy How deep are the scratches? As a rule, they don't "grow" over time, BUT if the scratches are down to the metal, they will begin to rust, and the rust will spread underneath the paint if left untreated.

  • @TurtleWaxTommy yea I have the same problem as ExCEED, black Shelby gt, pretty deep scratches into the clear coat and a big chip down to the metal (a little more than 1/4 an inch across. So i would need to use my cars touch up paint, remove excess paint, let dry, FOLLOWING with the clear coat pen over the dry touch up paint and then begin steps to sand/compound? did i miss anything?

  • Yea...it usually only takes me about 20 to 40 strokes to.

  • this video is a joke.

  • i tried using this stuff, i got confused. so i put it somewhere that i forgot where i had put it. too bad i didnt youtube how to use it before i did that though

  • i have some small scratches on my car that i don't think needs fixing. do scratches spread/get bigger over time? or do they just stay the way it is? please answer !

  • lol the bald guy looks like a turtle hhhhhhhahhhh...

  • Hello Tommy i am really amazed by your product i am looking forward to it but the only thing is that i just brought a car which is a 2005 Mercedes CLK-DTM i think your familiar with the car. Anyways the problem with car is that it had a foil wrapped on it before and now it has been removed but due to bad foil quality the paint on all the edges has been gone its like gone and i wondered if this product could help me ?? :)

  • I tried this product on my ''04 silver Envoy. The results weren't good and I ended up taking it to the body shop.

  • Can i use this product on my car in the sun at about 65 degrees farenhite?
