The center field wall used to be so deep out that they used to keep the batting cage there against it. You didn't see too many bloop home runs in those days like you see now. A guy had to really hit the ball back then for a HR.

@nickenna5942 Don't compare their current drought to their performance back in the day. The Buccs won their first world series playing in Forbes Field in 1909.
