You are obligated to paint the room if you want, but a room like that is meant to be left as natural wood. Its rather like painting over a piece of art.

Use roller extensions so your next paint is not so long. You can unscrew a broom handle.

From classic to generic.
Should have stained a wall or two for accent.
Quickly, its only been 3 years or so...you can still remove that awful paint, difficulty and labor will vary depending on how much needs to be sanded and how much paint will come off from using chemicals.
