  • If you had the power, would you put an endless stream of unhappy, negative, down-feeling thoughts in the mind of a friend or someone you love? No, you wouldn't. You would want to put happy thoughts, uplifting thoughts in their mind, something which brings them a sense of joy and peace, especially if you knew it would create a better future for them, filled with what they want.

Treat yourself as you would treat your friend or someone you love :)

  • Such wonderful words of wisdom! Thank you. Namaste

  • SALAM(means peace)on everyone.

  • @12thDecember - So true. I've never understood the notion of teaching children "you can't always get what you want" or that "life is cruel" or any of those things that adults tell impressionable minds. I had it drummed into my head: "it just gets worse from here on out." I have been working on my mental health for about 10 years and I can see how much that non stop negativity had taken hold in my mind. We can't "always get what we want" but if our core being is happy, we just don't care!

  • @fallcrysilk - Many people post comments like what you've posted here and it is ALWAYS from a lack of understanding. About 5 years ago I spent 3 months ONLY thinking "I love and approve of myself" EVERYDAY at every minute of those days. I said it to myself over and over and over and I did it whilst I was at work, at home, doing errands, when out with friends and when I was talking to other people. It is changing one's thoughts. Why is it "ok" to think about misery but good things aren't?

  • ..But when I think about what I want,I notice I don't have it and so I feel bad. What then?

I personally believe spending too much time thinking about what you want is counterproductive.

  • thank you for sharing. I feel better right now.:)
