Two delegations from Hollywood are visiting Israel to learn about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, one comprised of actors and another mainly featuring directors.
Today, both groups will meet with President Shimon Peres. The actors' delegation is also slated to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the coming days, after having met with Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad on Tuesday.
Both groups are here as guests of the Jewish Federation's Tel Aviv/Los Angeles Partnership, The Creative Coalition and the AIPAC-affiliated American Israel Education Foundation.
Last night, the actors held a press conference at the Dan Hotel in Tel Aviv in which they detailed their itinerary, which includes visits to Sderot and Ramallah, a tour of the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum and a visit to an absorption center for Ethiopian immigrants. Actress Patricia Arquette said the goal of the trip was to learn about the "nuances" of the Arab-Israeli conflict. Actor Richard Schiff of the "The West Wing" added that when they return to the United States, they plan to share what they have learned with their friends and others.
Actor Rob Morrow from"Northern Exposure" related that Fayyad had spoken of peace and reconciliation with Israel, but shortly after they left the meeting, they heard that Fatah and Hamas had agreed to form a unity government. That, he said, made them realize how fluid the situation here is.
Delegation members also said they were surprised to see how short a distance separates Jerusalem and Ramallah and likewise Sderot and the Gaza Strip.

The Russell Tribunal on Palestine and its eminent panel of international jurists has determined that Israel's practices against the Palestinian people are in breach of the prohibition of apartheid under international law. Following two intense days in Cape Town listening to testimony from expert witnesses, the Tribunal concluded unanimously that "Israel subjects the Palestinian people to an institutionalised regime of domination amounting to apartheid as defined under international law."

Maybe they'd be more suprized at the distance between Jerusalem and Mecca and discover all that space inbetween belongs to Arabs. And the Arabs need another state, like these hollywood clowns need another car.

@adamitshelanu or perhaps Israel should give them a tour in helicopters showing them how to throw white phosphorus on civilians or how to kill unarmed AID flotilla people
or how to keep over one million people in concentration camp for years
not to talk about showing them IDF's arsenal of fighter jets and all other sophisticated weapons used against civilians

Perhaps Hamas would like to give these Hollywood luminaries a guided and nuanced tour of their rocket arsenal? Maybe even offer a chance to see a impromptu gang set up a launcher next to a school and do a live firing against S'derot? Better still have an Iranian train fire a Grad against Ashdod?

They should visit Gaza and see what really happened during Gaza war
