When I found this cd of the first Genesis recordings, I felt like I won the lottery! All you Early Genesis and Peter Gabriel fans out there: enjoy... the band back in 1969 may not have been quite so polished, but for a beginning effort, this is as good as it gets.

Credits:
Music: "Am I Very Wrong?" from the cd "Where The Sour Turns To Sweet" (cd released 1986 on Rock Machine Records orginal rights owned by Jonathan King c.1969 from the Album "From Genesis to Revelation")

  • Thank you! I am so glad that you enjoy the video... Some of the images reminded me of Peter and his masks/costumes in the early Genesis stage shows, others seemed to fit the mood of the song. I'll be posting more videos for the songs on this cd soon.

  • Is that Pete playing flute in the baackground? Who did the BVs?

  • Yes that is Peter on flute and I believe it is Mike and/or Anthony on backing vocals. I will check the credits for you.

  • Great post from Genesis from in the begining, love all eras of Geneis, i think the older the better & thx.

  • 1 is very wrong

  • they say that everything that dies someday comes back, I hope this music comes back again

  • @KriyaArts Actually, the instrument in the background is a French horn (not a flute), and a member of the orchestra that Jonathan King commissioned is playing it.

  • Happy Days are here again!! Phil Collins can NO longer harm the musical charts or Genesis!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I received this lp christmas day 1975 although different than other genesis albums, it is probably my favorite. godsent

  • Sounds like Syd Barrett on backing vocals. I just got this record, though I'd been resisting getting it for fear that it would be real corny. I was surprised at how cool it sounds to me now. "Curse of the Happiness Machine," now that's some heavy shit, man!

  • I must just add, that I don't really understand how it is missed out of their 'back catalogue' when other bands, "such as Pink Floyd - who I am also a big fan of, get reconised for their early roots. This is an essential 'marker' for anyone interested in the genesis of Genesis!

  • This is an amazing, yet overlooked album, which is the cornerstone of Genesis!

  • I keep saying, The most wonderfull music!!!!!!
