I've never seen this show and have only heard a bit about it but this is soooo romantic! It makes me want to watch the show. I never got the ring pull thing though. I can never fit one on my finger.

@friendsfan931 The ring pull (called a "pop top" in the US) as engagement ring is actually a cliche from the 1970s. You used to see it a lot on soaps and in lightweight novels.

@geriatric1988 I know just what you mean, usually I'm one for series and films sticking to the books they're based on, But Archie leaving never made sense to me.

I loved Archie and Lexie so much.... absolutely gutted when they left.... For me they were what MOTG was all about and the series should have just ended when they left cos it was never as good after.

MOTG series touched me like no series ever has. I balled and balled when Hector left (died). Then when Archie left it just wasn't the same. And Archie wanting to leave Glenbogle in the story (and Lexie) just didn't make sense.
