Driving into San Francisco from SFO Airport

In this tour, we drive from the SFO airport to downtown San Francisco, taking Hwy 101 north, then connecting to Hwy 280 and exiting on 6th Street turnoff, the panorama shows the outline of the downtown skyscrappers, going north still on 6th street past Market street, then turning left and straight ahead to the US Federal Building in San Francisco. You will get a feeling for the morning traffic commute. Please notice the fog rolling into the city over the hills. Before we go into the city you can also catch a glimpse of Monster park on the right side of the bay where the SF 49RS play football.
This was taken on a early summer morning July 2008, which you may know in San Francisco feels cold due to the winds blowing from the Pacific ocean. I will post a video of the world famous Golden Gate Bridge which spans the entrance into the San Francisco bay area.

I remember travelling this route in 2000 after flying in from London and suddenly thinking of a girl from Berkeley I met in the Barcelona Museum of Modern Art in 1968. 32 years gone. Time goes so fast and so do we.

Visited san francisco last month, caught a 10 and a half hour flight from london to san francisco. The area is amazing. Beautiful city.

I live 45 minutes from San Fran and 25 from SFO, even though the weather is not always perfect, the city is always amazing!

@Lucassandro25 The BART train now extends to the airport. You need to take a shuttle train up to the platform.

I've never taken it myself, but it's good when it's not heavy commute time since you might have to deal with space and luggage too. I usually just reserve a shuttle bus into downtown. It's often just the same price as BART to downtown
