Ruger's new affordable hunting rifle combines features from other good bolt guns. The action, with side bolt release, is like a Tikka. The safety trigger and barrel nut are similar to Savage designs. This gun features a 3-lug bolt with 70-degree bolt lift. Bolt lift effort isn't bad, but we think the bolt handle is too short. We would also like to see this gun with a more rigid stock and a heavier-contour barrel. "Street Price" is under $500.00.
what is the barrel width??

i just cant get over that plastic stock... wish it came in wood. Heck, even Rossi's can make 100 dollar guns that come in wood.

Why did I get the feeling, when you mentioned the accu-trigger, you had to cut out the part where he said; "If you want to continue this interview, do not compare this rifle to anything else. Got it."
