How to raise the hoop from your waist to your chest also known as the shimmey
Hoop at your waist and practice putting your arms into the gaps you see when the hoop moves forward.
Let the hoop roll over your arms.This will feel awkward and stiff at first.
To begin the shimmey insert your left arm quickly followed by your right and move your shoulders up and down in rotation.This will make your arms nudge the hoop upwards.
To keep the hoop up you must now use your chest and back,so when the hoop rolls on each of them push them out so the hoop rolls over them.Keep your shoulders moving too.
