I think they should have used Vandal-Resistant, because these look like they are aging quickly. They also could have put a little more quality in the shaft as well. These are holeless telescoping hydraulic elevators, which means on both of sides of the cab, there are jacks that are basically divided and placed above the ground with the piston upside-down, attached to the car. THESE ARE NOT ROPED HYDRAULIC ELEVATORS! The ropes are used to keep the hydraulic system in-sync. Another thing that I like about these elevators is that they have 2 call station buttons on each elevators, but run on the same controller. Therefore, if you push one, they will both light up. This mini-mall was built over a factory that made construction tools, and was built in 2006.

  • Anyone know how to change a packing on one of these????? email me please!!

  • @dcolman5 I'm not sure anybody is certified to give you that information...

  • My son at school has an elevator just like this, EXCEPT, capacity 2,500 lbs., 4 floors (B* [basement], 1, BL [balcony], and 2), and the speed is 120 FPM.

When you were on the third floor, Daniel, you pressed G, and it sounded like a doorbell.

My son's 2nd floor at school, when you press the down button, it does a doorbell.

The rest, just "DING!" like that.

  • Schindler HT uses a doorbell chime to signal "going down." Usually, elevator chimes just ding once to go up, and dings twice when you go down. KONE and Schindler happen to use a doorbell chime for Series 220, KSS and HT. Otis also uses it for their Series 5.

  • These have HT standard, not Premium, fixtures.

  • OK, thanks. I made a huge typo there, because I remember looking through the Schindler catalog and noticing the difference.

  • I have a questipn what is telescoping holeless mean. I don't mean to sound stupied but I have no idea.

  • Nice elevator, holeless hydraulic

  • Sorry but you like elevator why to much.

  • Idk, i just think it's weird.

  • I don't think it is dumb at all. I think its kinda fancy, and gives the sense that neither the stores or Schindler is cheap. I actually really like that call button setup, especially for HT.
