  • Man what has he done for the crazy hate? He seems pretty cool. Good tips.

  • why do you people hate him so much?

  • This is good for me to know, although I am not trying to become a serious professional film maker. I just like making amature films and videos for fun. But I do want the quality of my work to improve.

  • @kaintheinsane use the rode video mic and an external field recorder for best results. use the field recorder to capture the sound for the final film, and use the video mic to capture better quality sound than the internal mic so it is easier to sync in post

  • @nagualdesign your right, but when it comes to DSLR he has a lot knowledge. Thats probably why people listen to him.

  • what do you use the rode microphone for in movies than? Never?

  • Like the sound in this video!

  • Well, his advice fits what little I understand!!

  • @quaxk LOL! :-D I think somebody forgot to take their medication today!

Defamation is certainly not a counter-argument. Philip Bloom is not a guru, no, but he has worked for the BBC, Sky and Lucasfilm, so he is qualified to dish out advice when asked. May I ask you, quaxk, why do you dislike him so vehemently?

  • Two more good tips, IMO, would be; don't cough loudly over your interviewee and don't replace the first 6 seconds of an interview, where you pose the main question, with your opening title sequence. Lol! :-D
