Right on about your experiences in our beautiful Nor Cal forests but arguing about who know more or how many old growth trees is pointless. I hope we can both agree that Forestry practices have improved greatly over the past 50yrs and in doing so both improve the forests and habitats that are left. Hopefully Obama doesnt sell them to foreign countries.

  • @nixonpunk222 That's just some of the parks that I know of. That is not counting any private old growth. I was at H. Cowell in Felton last year, and yes, there is old growth redwood there. Lots of it. There are several thousand oldies just in the Avenue of the Giants alone.. Not to mention almost 20,000 acres at Big Basin, with roughly half covered with old growth.I have been working and playing in the woods for over thirty years now, and know exactly what I am talking about.

  • @timberfaller666

okay cool you named a few well know parks where they saved a handful of old redwoods and Ive been to everyone and some. Those are the only remaining old growth redwoods and there's def not millions of them maybe a few thousand scattered throughout the parks. FYI henry w co, and Yosemite dont have redwood trees. Look ive been to/ hiked, slept, bleed in about every national forest in Nor Cal I can tell you I know what Im talking about.

  • @nixonpunk222 Del Norte, Jedediah Smith, Prairie Creek, Grizzly Creek, Humboldt S.P., just to name a few in NorCal. Big Basin, Henry Cowell S.P., Butano,..A handful in Central Cal, and at least 16 State parks in North Central CA. Not to mention Yosemite. You haven't done any research, apparently. Millions.

  • @timberfaller666

Millions of old growth redwoods.... where are these so called millions hiding because I have not seen them and ive lived in Nor Cal for 25yrs. Fed and state forest are relatively new made to save what little was left of the forests and actually manage them. Sure modern forestry practice is not all about clear cutting but it was and still is happening. Seriously where are these millions of trees ide like 2 know

  • @nixonpunk222 You are completely misinformed and have apparently jumped on the propaganda bus. There are millions (Yes, MILLIONS) of old growth trees out there. (I am just talking redwood). Fact. Something else.. how many times have you heard of improperly managed private forests going up in smoke like OUR federal and state forests have? It is beyond pathetic. Do some research before you comment, please.

  • @nixonpunk222 How can I be full of Shite when its factual truth? Google Washington state timber facts and simply look at just how much is locked up in parks and private reserves and other set asides. This country is the great country it is from the foundational utilation of our natural resources. We have so many parks in Wa. state at this time that parks are neglected or closed because we can't fund them all. Huge trees fall in these parks and are not allowed to fund themselves.

  • @104bigTruck

Ur full of shit man, maybe second and third growth but def not old growth theres none left. Cal and elsewhere has been logged numerous time, not just logged rapped like ur fat mom, and left with a patch of burnt pubes

  • @AGNOSSI Well then don't watch it. The planet was "put" here? Puhleeeez... Then Jesus will come back.... Then what happens? Al Gore will be appointed a new disciple? Gasp! Grip... Get one.

  • I can't stand to watch this...makes me sick...not to worry, the planet was "put here" for humans to plunder...then Jesus will come back!!!!
