The Sweet were an awesome, awesome band, and Mick Tucker certainly brought a lot of talent to the table for The Sweet and did them some serious good,however, I gotta wonder how badass Mick would've been in a much harder rock outfit in the 70's if he had chose that path instead of bubblegum pop. Their later stuff was harder, but I think Mick could've reached near-legendary status in a more Thin Lizzy, UFO, Zeppelin-like band back then. He was an awesome drummer with great style. VERY underrated.

They played all their own instruments on their first singles and continued to until their last.

OF course not! They were not "allowed" to play on their first singles. T'was cheaper and faster to use pro studiomusicians... But it's their voices, or at least Brian's overdubbed a couple of times.
