Nobody backed Elvis up any better than The Jordanaires. Elvis once called them " my second voice." He really wanted them in Vegas for his '69 comeback, but Parker offered them peanuts and they were making a fortune doing sessions everyday in Nashville. A month away would have proved devastating to their livelihoods.

growing up I called Ray Walker "uncle Ray" - we visited at his house often. My father Ed and him were good friends. I know his whole family. They are great people.

Jordanaires if good enough for Elvis then sure as hell good enough for me, a class act, Ray Walkers bass voice makes the group sound so distinctive.
