This is a piece of music from Rome Total War. It reminds me of celtic lands. I also take no Credit for the music, all the Credit goes to Activision and the makers of Rome Total War. Please leave a comment telling me what you think of the music.
@adambelfast1 Both were germanic. Germanic in this case means a speaker of germanic languages, which includes scandinavian languages and their common ancestor, old norse, the language of the vikings. Of course, the germans and austrians are also germanic. And also the dutch and the english.
I'm Lusitanian and there is some important celtic influence here too... pipes are also played here (thanks to the crusades).... but one thing we all have in common (Europe and former colonies of Africa, Australia and the Americas [It's a LOT of people]) is that we all write with Latin letters.
@mrudoch No they are a Germanic people's, they arrived much later to The British Isles than the Celts. In fact genetic research has shown that English people still have more Germanic DNA and the Welsh, Scots and Irish (also those from Cornwall) are from more Celtic stock. But culturally there are so many similarities.
I'm scotch irish (mostly irish due to my distant O'Brien ancestors) My family has always hated people from scandanavia and I'm trying to break them of that. So here's my question: were the Vikings a branch on the grand oak of Celtic culture?
@Treeeboy the celtic culture still exists in parts of mainland europe like brittany(france) and northern spain, though it's most preserved in ireland and scotland and the isle of man
Celts were a proud and creative race, the first to master Iron working and many other things. They had a deep and rich culture that extended not only to battle but also to every aspect of things and it was a shame that so much of it has been lost to us.

if the romans would of never invaded gaul and britain then the west celtic cultures would of advanced beyond the greatness of the romans.
