Yer that's a point. When you plug the battery to the helli yo need to leave it stood still until the gyro led is constant red. you will also hear the servos jump into position. Only then can you pick it p and move it to the take off position better still connect up in the area you are going to take off from. I think that this function is to orientate the gyro to its settling position.

cause i wasent aware tht when the remote was turned off it would test everything. when i did it it almost broke one of my blades but thank god it was carbon fiber lol

Dude i had the same problem right. so i read the intructions and it says do not turn on the Transmiter [remote], so i didnt [i can hear the gyro started making wierd sounds and such, then after it was finished, the blinking light on the gyro was constant Red. But BECAREFULL!! During the gyro stage thing[ where its testing its functions] It tests everything, and i mean The over drive switch for 3D Stunts. so what you should do is put sumthing very heavy on the landing gear stuff.
Just a quick note. Since this video I got the bottle to engage the 3D switch and it really improves vertical stability. No more bobbing up and down. I guess I must have got the throttle curve or pitch curves wrong so I am at wrong rpm for stable hover.

hey we just got one and we cant figure out why it wont stop spinning, the trim for the rudder doesnt work so could it possibly be that?

yes but you should be able to compensate with the sticks, or by adjusting the servo distance. if its second hand it could be the gyro is bust or the belt is on the wrong way, or even the rudder blades fitted the wrong way. this would make it snap into a spin.

it could be jeclone already posted the answer. Try getting off the ground a bit higher to remove the effect of the rotor wash. Also start in a hall to eliminate any breeze and that way you will know if your settings are good or the conditions are bad. Good luck.
