The subtexts make this even more amazing. What are the course stats (distance, temperature)? Looks like it was sub-freezing, there's still snow on the tree trunks, but the main course line was salted?

There was a huge storm two days before, just in time for all the races. I did the Masters 45+ race the day before. I think the temperature at race time was around 40f (5c). It would freeze over night and then warm up slowly during the day. The frozen ruts early in the day were horrific. No salt was used on the course as far as I know.
