Marc Ostrick and I continue our adventure into emerging tech with a return trip to Vegas for the 2010 International Consumer Electronic Show. We're building a live streaming HD studio with Robert Scoble. Here's what we saw from the floor at CES. The Spark Series is a collection of short documentaries by Marc Ostrick and Michael Sean Wright that show the application of emerging tech tools empowering the creative process of communication. Our goal is to ignite conversations into action.

  • Harvard law professor Cass Sunstein, Obamas appointee to head the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, outlined a plan for the government to infiltrate conspiracy groups in order to undermine them via postings on chat rooms and social networks, as well as real meetings, according to a recently uncovered article Sunstein wrote for the Journal of Political Philosophy.

  • "I like the idea of great quality for less."

I think a lot of people are being hoodwinked when it comes to the cheaper HD cams. The lenses are so small on something like a $600 cam that they can't collect enough light to give a decent image. It's much better by far to find a good used high-end miniDV unit. A really good DV cam will actually outperform many of the cheaper HD cams and will still upconvert to HD just fine using something like UpRez.

Also, lots of luck editing AVCHD files.

  • I want to see what you bought; cameras, lights, audio, control panel; also what editing software you use; and then how you going to deliver your product -- internet or whatever. I work in TV and I would love to produce a full length feature on a dime.

It's an invite only site so if you would like to get an invitation send me a PM here on YouTube with you're email address. I'm not going to spam you just send an invitation. See you on Lockerz
