Students at Countryside Elementary School in Edina spent Friday, Jan. 16, hammering nails with frozen bananas, petting snakes and learning about everything from rocks and fossils to brains and bats.
Cryogenics, chemistry and insects were among the featured subjects at the schools annual Science Extravaganza.
Students experimented with quick-freezing fruit, examined insects, and watched a chemist scoop up a glass of carbon dioxide. (Reporting, video and post-production by Edina Sun-Current Community Editor Jason Kroeker)
