93 Ford Probe GT-ZE

Just warming up my engine, thought that i would record it will i waited. Pacesetter headers and Pacesetter catback exhaust.

you running DE vc's and intake? I got a 93 PGT myself. I'm running a DE though.

no the motor is a full KLZE from japan the only thing i had to take off was the mass air flow sensor because i could not get the air/fuel mixture right. People might be confused because i had put on the DE Ford valve cover on the front the reason was that i had polished that one and didn't want to spend more time doing another one.

sorry man i thought that i posted a comment to you but i guess i didn't press the button eh shit happens. Ya to tell the difference between a DE and a ZE visually the ZE has a larger intake manifold a larger throttle body then the internals, take off the valve cover and if the cams are stamps KL31 then if the compression is i think 10:1 or 10.5:1 then it is a KLZE there is more but you can check that out later. @voodooblock17 The VCs are interchangable. im going to keep my Ford VCs when i swap my engine out too.

@CianTolliver2008 its a probe gt with a ze swap. us probers call it a GT-ZE when a KL-ZE swap is done and its not in reference to the engine. Since its a Gt with the swap gt stays and the swap is ZE so its referred to as a GT-ZE just so people who know the vehicle know whats done to it.

@TurnedElephant theres more ways also like the intake neck curved and straight neck and straight runners are also variances and the cams dont always tell a true ze. kl31 cams are just the more preferred cams for the ze.

@yonutfilip considering the Probe GT comes with a KL-DE and not a KL-ZE which by chance is a J-spec engine. And also the Probe GT has no sub... sub title. And my statement/comment was that the engines name was not a gt-ze and a KL-ZE. not a reference to the sub model of the car. So if your done expressing your ignorance with your lack of fact. I am also done.

if it was a KLDE then it will be GT - DE ? understand ??

you do know thats a kl-ze not a gt-ze. mazda made the motors for the probe

When I do this I will definitely keep the Ford Valve covers and put them on the KLZE.
