  • All depends on what you already have? If you've got a turret mill & a boring bar then you're almost there? Other than a piece of machined 1" thick plate and some time to fit to the opposite end of your mill to hold the boring bar, a precision ground 2" x 36" bar, turn some rings to suit the desired main bearing diameter. A couple of identical 8" Indexing heads and a heap of determination, you can do it!

  • how much would something like this cost?

  • ABURRIDOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!

  • eu tenho uma maquina de retificar cilindros dessa ae aqui no brasil. van norman igualzinha. ela é show de bola

  • How are you mounting the boring bar to the mill? Have you turned the milling head toward the back and adjusted the ram out to mount to expose the base? Looks like a great idea as long as your ways are good and true otherwise the bore won't be parallel to crank centerline.
