Fran Merida

Francisco Merida Perez, following in the footsteps of Cesc Fabregas, from the Nou Camp the home of Barcelona to London and Arsenal.
Many comparisons have been made of the 19 year old with Cesc not only in the way they both decided to leave the youth system of Barcelona to Arsenal, but also in the way the play. Both have great creative vision and like to dictate the play. And although Merida's physical development has been a slower one incomparison to his spanish teammate, Wenger still believes he has a great future ahead of him at Arsenal along with the many other talented youngsters playing in the reserves, and he will be hoping to take that next step into the 1st team in 09/10.

Merida could of joined the first team with wilshire and ramsay..... but he decided to leave arsenal... what a shame.. and i don't think he will be as good as he was at arsenal..
