This is the story of Anand Prakash, who was working as an Assistant Engineer in PWD in Uttarakhand, has been missing under most mysterious circumstances for the last two and half months from his government accommodation in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand.

This mishap has completely shattered and totally uprooted the life of Anands entire family. His mother, who is a heart patient, and his father, who has recently been diagnosed with Esophagus Cancer, are under great shock because of this incident. His younger brother, Vidyasagar, who was on one year study leave from his job in IndianOil and was pursuing his MBA studies at XLRI, Jamshedpur, had to discontinue his studies because of this incident. His second brother has also left his final year studies at NID, Ahmadabad and has come back to take care of his mother at home. His only sister has left her job to take care of his ailing father who is undergoing treatment at AIIMS, New Delhi. Last but not the least, the life of Deparchana , his wife, is lost in the darkness of uncertainty.
