  • Hey...I heard that song a lotttt....and i adore Globus music....Orchard of mines is my all time fav . song.....but Spiritus Khayyam....as much as I like the song....I dont understand it....I know Arabic, but I dont understand the video and whats the point of the song....Can u plz tell me??

  • Apparently, it is an older and more poetic form of Arabic, and unfortunately, I do not know the actual meaning. I actually ran if by a couple of Arabic speaking friends who could pick out several words, but not figure out what the broader meaning was. I just dug the way the lyric flowed along with the melody, and I wanted to blend that with a driving beat and an orchestra/choir combination. I think the juxtaposition of those two divergent musical styles makes it somewhat fresh and unique.

  • what language is this plz?

  • Arabic - taken from a 17th century folk song.

  • I wish Globus will make more dark; epic Arabic songs like this one.

  • This video makes me wonder all the more about the lyrics mean... but I sing along anyway (to the best of my ability- I don't have the lyrics so I can't pronounce everything perfectly) XD but I love this song. I actually bought the whole Epicon album on iTunes a while back. Totally worth every cent. The music is mystifying and just awe-inspiring~ I wish I could hear this live! <3 Anyway, great job, and hope to see more X3

  • This song is best used on chase scenes.

  • Khayyam is a beloved Persian poet, and his poems are in Farsi.

  • Arabic and Hebrew are both Semitic languages... Persian/Farsi on the other hand is Indo-European, as far as I know.

  • @808thampire Arabic and Latin are by far the best languages for making songs like this.

  • Looks like Yoav at 4:05 .

  • 4:04 ... Is that Yoav Goren?

  • The song is great. i liked the woman singer in the clip. Did I see this woman in a movie before??? she looks so familiar and exotic. I am not familiar with the song, but the video clip is edgy and cool, even though i don't quite understand it.

  • @slightlyshattered That was just vocal training.

  • 1:49 the boy's wearing Yoav Goren's hat he weared at the live peformance!! :'D. Beautiful song!

  • Yes, Omar Khayyam was Persian. He and Jeanie were very good friends. Just ask Tony Nelson. But what does that have to do with this song? This is the 4th or 5th song in a series of songs talking about the qualities of God... What would "Spirit of Tents" mean? Did Omar Khayyam write poems about ghosts in tents? Was he a believer in the Judeo-Christian God? 'Cause that's what these songs are about...
