The health care reform debate will impact the lives of every citizen in this country.
Americans for Affordable Health Care stands for the proposition that real health care reform should protect certain rights Americans believe in with respect to our health care; rights that health care reform should embrace - not eliminate or ignore.
We promote the Americans' Health Care Declaration of Rights . . . guiding principles to be followed if we are to build a truly reformed U.S. health care system. Some think health care reform will give us new rights and benefits. Perhaps so. But they will be of little value without the power to choose affordable health plans that provide us access to timely care, and the ability to make our own choices about our health care and who provides it to us.
No "one size fits all" approach will bring affordable health care to every American.
Health care is personal and we should be in control of it - not the insurance companies or the government.
Americans for Affordable Health Care - because it's your health . . . and it's your choice.
