I do not own the rights to these fights. I am uploading them as a fan for other fans since they have never been released in North America.

This fight between Hoost and Schilt is from Pride vs K-1 Shockwave 2002. The event has never been released in North America due to a disagreement between K-1 and Pride. Shortly after the event K-1 started their own mma Promotion and that caused problems between the two promotions and put them in direct competition with each other. The event is one of my favorites and I plan on uploading a few of the fights from that night so they can be seen and enjoyed. I broke this fight into 3 pieces because it is over 22 minutes long. I will probably also upload Fry vs LeBanner and Crocop vs Sakuraba. I might also upload

Tatsuya Iwasaki vs. Wanderlei Silva
Daijiro Matsui vs. Jerrol Venetiaan
Gary Goodridge vs. Lloyd Van Dams Depending on if I get around to it.

Thanks for watching and please

  • @Blahb27 You need to have a re think size is a hudge advantage, hence the reason there are weight classes.

  • @00JakeR00 That should be an advantage. Size works against you in kickboxing without the skill to use it. Realise: every single technique you perform is slower than your opponent's, and they generally have more weight per centimetre of body than you do, so what they do to you always hurts more than what you do to them.

  • @00JakeR00 In the end of the last vid, you can hear them say that Hoost isn't that small. He is about 1.90 meters, that is average in this weight class. Hoost was a better technician back then, but if you look at Sem now... Height alone wins you nothing, there are even bigger guys then Semmy in K-1 but he is the only one that has been really successful.

  • @sheemsheem You don't get the win just because your opponent is bigger. Hoost is the better technician but he was always very small for k-1.

  • Wha?? Who won? Anyway, thanks for upload. Ernesto Hoost seems so little compared to Schilt. Hearing "Liver shot" makes my stomach hurt, lol.

  • Stupid decision...the sheer size and weight advantage and Hoost stood up ..Hoost should have won...Hoost = #1 K-1

  • prefiero los comentaristas japoneses. estos son muy aburridos ... ernesto host el mejor luchador
