The first out of more than 80 canoes arrive at the Lummi Nation (near Bellingham, Washington) on July 30, 2007. The annual tribal canoe journey draws canoe families from indigenous nations around the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia. Many of these first canoes were from the "southern group" (mainly Washington state). More information at http://www.paddletolummi.com [Video by Zoltan Grossman.]
