Veganism is a way of life which recognises the right of all sentient animals to be treated with respect and justice. It's about doing the best we can to align our actions with these values. This means not consuming, wearing or using animals, nor taking part in activities of their exploitation. Being vegan is the most responsible and morally conscious thing each one of us can do. To learn about how veganism helps not only animals, but also our own health and spirituality; as well as how it can ease world hunger and why it really is the only hope for the future of our beautiful planet, please visit: http://www.evolvecampaigns.org.uk and "Like" our page on Facebook too: http:/www.facebook.com/EVOLVECampaigns - we have a great community on there!

great video !I am vegetarian and I really respect the people who have chosen to be vegan but personally I don't understand why should I not eat eggs and drink milk.Ok..for health,,,but in small quantities these aliments are very important for the development of our body. All dairy foods are great sources of proteins and also keep bones and teeth strong and prevent osteoporosis. Moreover,we don't have to kill the animal to benefit all these foodstuff.

If you check out our website- EVOLVE! Campaigns and click Animals, then What's wrong with dairy and eggs you will see that these industries are indeed responsible for many animal deaths, unwanted baby male chicks and unwanted male calves at birth for example. Also laying hens and dairy cows only live a fraction of their natural lifespan before they are shipped off the the slaughterhouses, totally exhausted and spent.

Furthermore dairy does not prevent osteoporosis, it actually causes it. Osteoporosis is a result of a negative calcium balance caused by the body leeching calcium from the bones in order to neutralize an acidic bloodstream. All animal products, including cows milk, acidify the bloodstream. The countries consuming the greatest amount of calcium through milk products are suffering the most from calcium deficiencies. These countries have the highest incidence of osteoporosis.

"Now I've told you why I'm Vegan. You can tell me why you're not"

You forgot the tagline "pending comment approval".

For someone that has invited discussion on this you have chosen a non transparent way of allowing it.

Probably more views/comments would have come without restricting this.

We allow through any comments that are genuine discussion. The reason we screen comments is because we often (almost daily, sadly) receive vile, abusive comments, including those describing hideous acts of violence towards animals which we certainly don't want to automatically allow through on our channel.

Yes, 70% of cleared Amazon rainforest is used for ranching – for the grazing of hamburger cattle – but most of the remaining 30% is used for

growing soya for animal feed, not soya for human consumption.

Thanks for this great video. Most people who make fun (and there are soooo many of those) or who claim they 'can't understand' are ignorant of the horrible abuses animals endure in order to be eaten by them. I say go ahead and make fun AFTER you have watched "Earthlings"!

    Vitamin D = Sun

    Vitamin B12 = Nutritional Yeast, Tempeh, Marmite/Vegemite.

Calcium= Some soy milks have more calcium than milk, Kale, Orange Juice.

And protein i am just bloody sick of because even vegans even get to much

I suggest typing up "Where do you get your protein" on youtube by VeganSmthye. It's a funny song

If you actually do research on how we can be sustained by foods derived by plants only, you will learn different. People have been vegans for years (because of culture, belief systems, and morality) and thrive quite fine. Do your research!

What is your point here? If gorillas, chimps, lions, cats, dogs or other non-human animals eat flesh - so what?

We are none of these creatures - we are capable of making a decision to eat without taking life. That is the point in discussion. That is what vegan lifestyle is about.

When you hunt - you do more than damage - you destroy. You murder innocent living beings whose desires to survive are as as strong and as justifiable as your own. WOW! Talk about mythical moral superiority...

You have clearly not visited a market garden and a house of slaughter on the same day.

Please google "vegan athletes". Eating animals does not make anyone a better athlete.

Eating animals because their flesh, blood, muscles, sinews and veins are tasty - is not a good enough reason. If that was a good enough reason, we would all be eating one another. It is simply immoral to eat human animals or non-human animals. Taste is nothing compared with murdering.

We don't have to kill innocent animals to survive. That alone should be reason enough for us to let them live out their lives.

It is not only our physical body and our ego that evolves. So too can our sense of (in)justice, our ability to empathise with other beings, our outrage that slaughtering non-human beings is brutal and cowardly.

Millions of us are not omnivores, generations of us are not omnivores. What you call "a bee in our bonnet" is an educated mind making a compassionate decision.

Please go to a vegan organisation/society and ask them to explain to you how the egg and dairy industries are extremely abusive and lethal to animals. Because you are already gentle enough and educated enough to stop eating animals, you will then become a vegan.

To explain the osteoporosis myth, please google "Gary Yourofsky - the best speech ever". He explains it so well.

All the best on your compassionate journey. :-)
