Here is another rare Engelbert B side. This is the flip side of his hit "When There's No You". (The pop version of Vesti La Guibba) This song is an italian song. Both Enge and Tom have had quite a few hits that were also recorded as italian pop songs. "A Man Without Love", "Delilah", "HelpYourself", "Love Me Tonight", "The Way It Used To Be" among others. Italian singer Jimmy Fontana recorded many of them as well as writing and recording another Engelbert classic, "Il Mondo". (from the "Release Me" LP) There is an incredible performance of "Il Mondo" by Engelbert on his "Live In Japan" import LP. I am also a great fan of The Beatles (just got the new boxsets yesterday) and ABBA but there's not a whole lot by them that hasn't been posted on you tube already, so I decided to stick with Engelbert and Tom. I should mention that my Tom Jones collection is strictly limited to his early Parrot recordings (1965-1975) as that is my favorite era of his. If there's anything you would like me to post, I'll be more than happy to. My Engelbert collection is far broader as he is my all time favorite performer. ENJOY!!
