I'm sorry for starting an argument, crysis is the best stand alone fps. Half life 2 is the best FPS of all time. But this includes Valve awesomeness, the community, the mods, and everything about the source engine. But just hl2 alone is nothing compared to crysis. And I know crysis has some kick ass mods as well. But I think hl2 is more legendary.

@heat4yoass You never have to OC anything if you know what you're doing.

Even if you DO OC something, if you know what you're doing you'll shave maybe a month off the lifetime of your card or CPU, tops. Too many idiots try to bump things up double-speed, which will ruin it no doubt.

And "excessive use" is running crysis at max 24/7 for 6 months straight. It doesn't happen kid.

Heck, I upgrade one part for less than $100, and I've got a rig that kicks Sony's ass. PS3? Naw, it's PC.

HA! Wake me up when your video card stops overclocking due to excessive use or too much graphics for the computer to handle, or all the prerequisites in order to game on a pc, or going through countless hardware because something got fried. I haven't had one problem with my ps3 and I play the hell out of it everyday. Although my xbox 360 took a dump on me about 3 times but that's because, well it's microsoft and microsoft sucks major cack!

@heat4yoass Not to mention the fact that a very good gaming computer with modern parts (I say "Modern", not "Bleeding Edge" or "Intel brand") will run you less than $1k if you know what the hell you're doing. Sure, buying a premade one nets you a half-decent rig, but the pre-built ones are plagued with inferior hardware and almost double (Or triple) the price.

I just got a new Dual Core with unlockable cores for under $100, meaning a quad for the price of a duo AMD brand chip.

@heat4yoass Just because it's meant exclusively for gaming doesn't mean it's superior.

That's like saying a kitchen appliance that does one thing poorly is better than one that does 15 things very well.

And game consoles are HARDLY for exclusive gaming. Web browsers allow for more, and more people use their consoles for multiple things, like movies and social networking via said web browsers.

Console specializes in doing one thing "okay", while PCs excel in all that they do.
