For those who are afraid to go under, it's not that bad. First of all, you are monitored by a highly trained anesthesiologist, so the risk of not waking up is small.
For those getting a tonsillectomy, it will be fine. Just eat a lot of ice cream cuz it cools and numbs the area. You will be in pain, but trust me, it isn't as bad as an appendectomy.

@27araceli Going under is nothing. It seems like its only been 2 mins. I had surgery on my wrist and it wasnt bad at all it was kinda cool.

just wondering how you're doing after the surgery,
im having my tonsils out in about a week and im really nervous, any tips?
does you voice change or stay the same ? :)

@wehatejordan well my voice changed a LOT. it went higher for sure. and to be quite honest the surgery wasn't so bad. it didn't start to really hurt until maybe 2 or 3 days after the surgery. the worst part for me was not being able to eat what i wanted to. i ate a lot of watery soup, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese and ice cream. good luck!!!

im getting my taken out next thursday. And I am the same way. I am so freked out. So how does it feel to go under.

@27araceli well this is a late reply and you prolly know by now what it feels like to go under, but to me, it just felt like my left arm was BURNING. it hurt and then i woke up.
