I am taking a portrait class taught by Suzi Blu called The Goddess and the Poet and these are some drawings I did using her techniques. They are done only in graphite and colored pencil but this video illustrates how I decided to design the background around them

it's hard to see what you are doing off camera to the right (about 2:40 into it)...are you using watercolor crayons as a 'paint' on your brush?
