Indian Ringneck Learning to Talk

Pohi, my grey Indian ringneck parakeet, is almost a year old and is starting to talk. He likes to babble in the bathroom with the fan or water on so I apologize for the background sound. If I turn it off, he stops talking haha. He doesn't really start until :33. We are still trying to figure out a little bit of what he is saying, but so far he loves to say "come here" "beepy bird" "good boy" "weeee!" "ooooo" "little baby bird" "gimme kiss" (with or without the kissie sound at the end), "soooo cute", and "whatcha doin"... I believe there are a few more in there. I apologize for me talking as well, "come here" is a new one as of this week as well as the most clear and the more I repeat it the more defined it becomes =) With time these phrases should get more understandable.

His best talking in this video is between 3:30-4:00. He says, "come here. Good boy baby. come here. gimme kiss. go weeee! beebeepy bird beebeebee bird"

Pohi is a super smart bird, who is extremely affectionate. He loves kissies and will sit there and repeatedly kiss you until you are annoyed with his beak on your face. He also waves hello and spins on command. Pohi is fed a pelleted diet with fruit and veggies as supplements and is never actually caged. We have a spare bedroom and he has an open cage to sleep in and tends to hang out on top of that or in the window beside it. He is completely spoiled rotten...

ok thanks for your advice..my parrot's name is KUKU ..he is green..hope 1 day he will talk like yours...when you get other video of pohi..do post it..i just love to watch him.

@shamee170 Just talk to them a lot. Most ringneck don't start talking until they are about Pohi's age so you have loads of time for him to listen and pick things up. He started becoming very interested in what we were saying about 2 months ago so we amped it up a little bit. I started repeating beepy bird more often and soon after he started trying to say it. We made a huge deal over it and I guess he figured out that talking was an awesome way to get attention, and lots of fun!
