The man behind the scandalous British expenses row reveals himself in a one-off televised interview. Henry Gewanter approached the British media, and The Daily Telegraph were more than willing to oblige.
In the current economic climate what is sure to rouse angry voters to lose faith in politicians? MPs paying for porn with taxpayers money perhaps? After an anonymous tip-off Henry Gewanter has single handedly caused 7 MPs to stand down amid evidence that they have fraudulently claimed expenses. The original source of the material however is still unnamed. I havent received a single penny for this, I did it for the public good claims Gewanter, now a local celebrity. Ive been bombarded by media interest. Gordon Brown is now in the spotlight after losing dramatically in the European elections: He has been caught with his pants down and has been struggling ever since.

My only surprise is that people are surprised by this.

It's so shockingly obvious that this was going on simply by the fact it was kept secret.

Anyone considering voting for any of the main three parties should have their head examined.

MP's should be paid the average UK income (including pensioners) and not a penny more. How else can they be said to be

a) representative.

b) focused on public service rather than profit & power.

Yep, too often the "Great Satan" let's Europeans be complacent and unduly smug without looking at the shit on their own doorstep. Our governments might be less crazy than yours and less damaging, but we harbour the same transnational corporations and organisations that are setting themselves up to be global government who are just as insane and enjoy anonimity behind the convenient diversion that is the US.

It has nothing to do with any of the above, I was discussing something with a different user, in response to his comments, which was the whole "American Vampirism"..etc.. then you two (NorthPlum) jump into something that was all ready in motion, and so you got what was originally directed at someone that does* meet the description of an asshole. But a fact is a fact, like the brainsbehind stated, the US uses the most energy in the world. Seeing as it is now, you seem to have this superioty complex arguing the US is better than everyone else.

Dude, sorry but any negative connotation comes from within you. Like I said, just facts, not an attack. I work almost exclusively with Americans and most of them are worldly wise enough to not get upset at FACTS as if someone is burning their flag and shoving it in their face :) That they can do that allows progress from combined efforts.

You really dont need to get defensive and make bad arguments in the process.
