  • Have loaded up more videos of a jtm reamped .This gets closer to the van halen sound.

  • Ok will bias the amp hot maybe 60 ma .I have a set of original paf's in a 335.I'll get a video ot thoes to together up.I think if you bias the amp hot and bull the mids in the mix you could get Eddies sound with an unmodded amp.I have 100 watts from 66 67 68 69 70 71 & 72,each one of them sounds different. The 67 & 68 sound more like his tone than any other year.

  • great sounds!! can you please post the JTM settings ??

  • This is such amazing tone. I think eric clapton had the best guitar tone in the early cream days

  • I can't believe nobody has commented yet on this display of a truely historic relic being played very well in this demo. You nailed the Disraeli Gears tone in this clip. Perhaps for an experiment you could crank it up and try playing some Van Halen riffs to help add evidence to the case of whether EVH's 67' could pull off that sound unmodded (as he has been claiming for the last 20 years or so). My opinion on that issue is that his amp was modded for extra gain, imho.
