Ok kiddies, heres the deal, The first amendment states that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances." The police have no right to stop them unless they pose a threat to themselves or others. I saw nothing that would warrent such an action by the police.

No Giff, these people are actually with the terrorists. They love Bin Laden, they think he's a hero. They hate our soldiers, and call the taliban freedom fighters. They are traitors, and should be treated as such.

Thats right, troops are overseas fighting for your right to sit there and bitch about the fact that they're over there. Get over yourself, and big woop, tear gas and rubber bullets, too bad they can't use live rounds for this stupid goofy ass shit! :)

So you think anti-war protesters should move into more extreme forms of resistance?

New York Times - March 20, 2006
OAKLAND, California - A clash between the police and antiwar protesters here nearly three years ago will cost the City of Oakland more than $2 million, including dozens of payouts to people injured when officers fired wooden dowels, bean bags and rubber pellets.
The Oakland City Council is scheduled Tuesday to approve the final payments related to the incident, which was the most violent of many protests nationwide in the early weeks of the Iraq war.
