Back by popular demand - my original, demonic white Fender Electric Klezmer Fiddle! The piece I am playing is known in Klezmer circles as "The Turk in Amerika", but it is actually originally a Turkish melody...
The melody is known by many names - this is actually a melody that has different interpretations in almost every Balkan country! In Turkey it's known as "Üsküdara Gideriken". In Bulgaria it's known as "Yasen Mesec"...& this melody is sung in also in Bosnia, Macedonia, Albania, Serbia, Greece !!!
In America,it was also was given a Jewish Klezmer-style rendition,by the Naftule Brandwein Klezmer Orchestra, way back in 1924,& ever since, became an established part of the Klezmer repertoire, known by Klezmer musicians as "The Turk in America"...an amazing melody that seems to have travelled almost EVERYWHERE!
For more of my Klezmer fiddle music, my album, "The Klezmer Fiddle" is now available from iTunes:

@rakkav Glad you like the "retro vibe"! In my ever desparate attempts at getting back to "live" Youtube "gigs" again, I am amazed to hear that my original nasty grainey 7 year old webcam & PC mic set up sounds better than all the Hi Tech geeky gizmos I have tried! Although the image quality of the Logitech Hi Def 9000 webcam is amazing, the sound is squished & dismally digitally compressed sounding compared to my original lo tech Argos 2003 PC mic...any techno geeks out there know why??
