this is fantastic, ive been using this stuff on my bike, i never twigged i could use it on the ends of my 'bones'. i cant find tipping fluid and cant import it!

Yes, absolutely! Much, much preferable to plastic, whether you use spring steel or spiral wires. The corset lasts longer, and buyers know that steel boning means they're getting a better quality product.

Wait so did you file the edge to be curved or just so that it wasn't too pointy? (before wrapping it)

I filed it to be less pointy - these bones are pretty wide!

I don't see why it should when the bone is tightly held inside the boning channel. I suggest an experiment, if you're not convinced! Best wishes, CH

Very helpful... I'm trying to make and sell corsets for A-kon this summer. Do you really use steel in a corset?

Yes, flat steels or spiral steels (which are like a very small, long "slinky" hammered flat.) They're a LOT more hard wearing than plastic, and a lot more comfortable, generally, in the normal "Victorian" styles you usually see.
