I made a trip out to Log Boom Park again on Lake Washington in search of Largemouth Bass and boy did I find them!

I was using the Pen Rod Goliath MX 15 All Aluminum Rear Drag Combo available only at http://www.penfishingrods.com.

You'll see that pretty much all of the Largies I caught were dinks but just wait until the end :)

Enjoy :D

  • Would you recommend one of these pen fishing rods? If so which one? Have you ver broken one?

  • @ChefBoyJL if you like to fish with ultra light gear, then yes I recommend them. the pen rod goliath is slightly longer than the extreme and that extra length lets you casts a bit further. the mx15 all aluminum reel is by far the nicest reel. catching any fish on these pen rods is a lot of fun as the fish feel much bigger than they would on a traditional rod. if you're careful and have your drag set properly, you shouldn't have any issues and you shouldn't break the rods either.

  • what pund test is that

  • @ObJeCTNatioN 6 lb mono

  • i was at log boom last week and i caught one about the size that you catch at the end but i was using a hotshot

  • @TheWatchman144K thanks, it's just a canon powershot sd1100 is. just a regular digital camera that i mounted to a plain old hat that i modified. all i did was find a bolt that has a thread that matches my camera, then i drilled a hole in an old hat and mounted the bolt with a nut. don't need to go out and spend a lot of money on an "authentic" hat cam if you have a digital camera that takes video and a hat you don't care about :)

  • Yeah you're videos are good, what head camera was you using to record whilst you fish?

  • 6 lb monofilament.. i say it in the video...

  • @ObJeCTNatioN nice, have fun with them :)
