After our dad died, my mom tried to cheer me and Frankie up with singing, we got pretty good at it too. Wed dance and sing around the house, making her forget about all the sorrow she felt. I think in a way, our music saved her.

I take the mic in my hand, -Now usually I wouldnt make a fool of myself, singing like this. But I just cant deny the bride this special request. This is an original song by yours truly, hope you guys like it.-

Once Im finished with the song, I glance at Brianna, she is smiling broadly, her eyes a little misty. I wonder if she realizes that all those words were written for her.

I shake my head while getting off the stage. I cant start thinking like that, I only want Brianna for the bet. This was all supposed to be a game. Feelings like that, cant be a part of this game. Why dont I want to stop them then?

A quick hush comes over the crowd, Hector has made an appearance. He rarely comes to these types of things. Why the hell is he here? Is this about the deal?

-Great singing Nick. If you would have given me a little longer, I would have had your girl in the palm of my hand!-

My girl? Is she my girl? I smile, pulling my girl close to me as we begin to sway to the music. But as she rests her head on my shoulder I see Hector talking to my mom in the distance. She looks upset and walks away but he quickly grabs her arm and pulls her back, whispering something in her ear. My mom looks around and then smile, hitting Hector playfully. I sigh, maybe Im just paranoid.

When darkness falls across the city, Brianna hops in my car and I take her back to the garage. When we park, she closes the distance between us, cuddling against my chest.

-I had a great time tonight.- she says smiling, -Well except when I has a breakdown and started crying- she frowns.

I grin, -Forget that. Forget everything and kiss me.-

She wraps her arms around my neck and I weave my hands in her hair, parting her lips with my tongue. Its like tango, first slow and rhythmic, but soon fast and intense. The smell of her is making my head spin. I cant think about anything but her, when her body is close. Everything else leave my mind, the bet, the gang, the deal, everything. I wish I could feel this way all the time. I lean back and look at her beautiful sapphire eyes, glowing with emotion and desire. She is perfect.

After we have said a sufficient goodbye, I reluctantly let her go, wishing I could keep her forever. Its too late I think. I cant seem to ignore these feelings for her. If only there was a way for us to be together.

But any hopes I had are shattered as I walk into my tiny house with my mother with her hands in her face. She sighs and starts, -I didnt want this life for us Nick.-

Back to reality.
