Born March 9, 1937 in Sta Ana, Pampanga. Parents: Regino Aniceto and Felicisima Basilio. Baptized March 21, 1937 by Fr. Felixberto Lozano. Confirmed by Archbishop Michael O'Doherty. Graduated Valedictorian in 1950 at Sta Ana Elementary School. Graduated Valedictorian in 1954 at Holy Cross Academy. Entered Mater Boni Consilii Seminary in 1954-1956. Studied philosophy and theology at San Jose Major Seminary in Quezon City. Ordained priest by Rufino Cardinal Santos in December 23, 1962. Assigned Coadjutor in St James Parish, Betis in May 1963. Assigned Coadjutor in Divine Grace Parish in Mabalacat in September 1963 to 1965. Assigned Spiritual Director of Mother of Good Counsel Seminary by Archbishop Emilio Cinense from 1965 to 1972. Elected President of Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines in 1975. Spiritual Director of Dominican Sisters of Our Lady of Remedies from 1968-1977. Assigned parish priest of San Jose Malino, Mexico in 1977. After 10 months he was assigned parish priest of Nuestra SeÑora Del Carmen, Floridablanca in 1977 to 1979. When Archbishop Cinense died in 1978, Archbishop Oscar Cruz chose him as his Secretary. On May 27, 1979 he was ordained bishop by Pope John Paul II at the Basilica of St. Peter in Vatican City, Rome at the age of 42, the youngest ordained bishop ever. On June 20, 1979 to December 3, 1983, he was assigned Archbishop of Tuguegarao, Cagayan. When Bishop Henry Byrne died, he was assigned bishop of Iba, Zambalez from 1983 to 1989. When Archbishop Oscar Cruz resigned in 1988, he was installed as Archbishop of San Fernando, Pampanga on May 14, 1989.   • I am the son of Cecil Corpuz Cinense. My father Cecil, was archbishop Emilio Cinense's grandson. Cecil Cinense is the 6th son of Nestor Cinense. I am 14 years old and I am proud to be a Cinense and a Pinoy! Mabuhay!

  • My Lolo Bishop is Florentino Cinense. He is a Bishop for the Philippines. I will see him again and the rest of the Cinense family next year!!! I cant wait to see my family in Tarlac and Guimba Philippines!!!
