Israeli Air Force Leased for Iron Eagle

The 1985/86 movie Iron Eagle leased several Israeli F16 and Kfir aircraft for the aerial combat sequences of the movie. While this movie was dreadful the Aerial photography was outstanding and the raw footage is freely available from the Israeli Defense Force public relations department. I spruced it up with some tunes.

Actually the F-16 and Kfir werent Leased for the movie, bucause it was filmed in Israel. Nevertheless the US Navy leased several Kfir C2 and renamed F-21A . The US Navy used to use Kfirs as adversary aircraft in the Squadron VF-43 until the F-16N was entering in service.

@Tetengue I guess the word lease is a stretch because they were indeed Israeli IDF pilots on regular missions cooperating with the aerial film crew.

Hellenic Air-force does it yet again. They have just won all the combat exercise in the latest NATO military exercises held in Spain last week April, 2011.This is on top of the other big win which was RED FLAG 2008 where they destroyed US Air-force in a kill ratio of 18:3. The so called best air-force and its top-guns, was their first loss and never had it been so bad.Further more the best NATO Pilot for the third time was Charalambos Eskioglou (Xαράλαμπου Εσκίογλου).
