The new album will be original material. He released Instant Karma through iTunes to coincide with his current US "warm up" tour. He'll be doing a few more covers in the next months. Check his site for tour dates!
What party was the rights to this song sold from/to to be used commercially in the first place? I really don't think Lennon himself woulda been cool with it...
I didn't know that Peter Murphy did the cover of John Lennon's Instant Karma. No wonder I liked the song every time I see it played on tv. Saw the commercial at least 20 times. I had to find out who sang that song. It's funny because Bauhaus is my favorite band. I was surprised to know that it's Peter Murphy because he's one of my fave artists.
This ad makes me want to barff. They pound the thing a million times a week. Peter Murphy slaughters Instant Karma by screaming like a constipated goat. I listened to Bauhaus back in the early 80s, but this sucks royal. Doesn't anybody see how ironic this ad is? John Lennon was totally anti-coporate (with the exception of Apple Records of course) I can hardly wait for it to go off air.
This song is stupid, so is the singer(or band), it makes me sick when each time I listen to it, I thought about open an account with chase, but after watch this commercial, I will take my business elsewhere.
